EXTERNAL RESOURCES.

Learning from the experiences of others makes it much easier to adjust to life following an amputation. Here are some resources we recommend.

POI has an active Facebook community for our patients.  If you have questions about how others are overcoming obstacles, this group can help.  This is a support group for POI patients only.

Piedmont Amputee Peer Support Group

This group is open to anyone who has undergone an amputation, their families, and caregivers. Our mission is to connect and share knowledge, experience, and encouragement.

Join our next meeting to make new friends, ask questions, and find or provide advice and support!

We will meet again in mid-July.

Please join our Facebook Group or check back here for future dates and meeting details.

The Amputee Coalition is an excellent source of inspiration, encouragement, and experience. They are the nation’s leading organization on limb loss, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for amputees and their families.
